Summer is full of beautiful sunsets and spectacular weather. It's like a performance above our heads. I got very productive in the evenings as the sun came down and the air got cooler. I had a deadline and a gift to make.
I haven't done a papercut in about a year. I felt rusty and that the final piece didn't come out like I imagined it too.
I gave it to the creators of The Clockmakers Daughter as this particular run of the production ended this week. As I walked back home after the performance on Friday it had just rained but it was now dry and still warm. The lightening was lighting up the sky in the near distance making it purpley pink.
It was back to lovely weather the next day were I went to a festival in the garden of a friends neighbours home. We toasted marshmallows over a bonfire in my friends paddock afterwards. The next day I posted my work because all this art was around and it was just doing its stuff and so I have to do my stuff.
